Chapter 28. Surprise

As she walked going inside the Knostican Palace with King Timodore beside her, memories started to flood Queen Asalea’s mind and tears trickled down her eyes like rivulets.

King Timodore saw the tears from his eyes that made him embrace her even in the midst of every vampire present at the surprise party.

“I hope those are tears of happiness, my love.” He murmured as he kissed her head and continued to embrace her.

Queen Asalea could not speak, so she just looked up to him and nodded. She did not want him to worry, so making some white lies right now is not a sin for her.

As they entered more of the palace, Queen Asalea saw Marshall standing near the thrones of her parents, who were the former King and Queen of Knostica. In his hands are two crowns; in his right is a King’s crown and in his left is the Queen’s crown. They were her parents’ crowns. Good thing Marshall was able to find them and safely kept them.
