Nina’s POV
The water lapped softly against the side of the yacht, like a lullaby whispered by the sea.
I stirred under the silken covers, warm from Aiden’s embrace. My legs were tangled with his, and the scent of him lingered in my nose—earthy, masculine, familiar. The kind of scent that made me feel like I belonged nowhere else but here, wrapped in his arms, our souls knotted together.
His chest rose and fell with a steady rhythm, and his hand still rested over my hip like he was protecting something precious.
The night had been… something else. I could still feel the ache of it, the softness of his lips, the sharpness of his hunger, and the raw passion that made me tremble in his hands.
I smiled, eyes fluttering open. The ceiling above us glowed softly, kissed by the first light of dawn. Aiden’s hand twitched.
“Are you awake?” I whispered, running my fingers down the side of his face.
“Not if you’re not kissing me,” he murmured, voice deep
