Nina’s POV
I gasped.
My eyes flew open. My body jolted.
Sunlight poured through the sheer curtain of the yacht’s open window, warm and golden. I was breathing fast. My skin was damp with sweat, my heart pounding like it was trying to run from my chest.
I sat up, the silk sheet slipping down my body.
Aiden’s arms came around me, strong and warm.
“Hey, Red…” he whispered, voice thick with sleep. “What is it?”
I turned and stared at him, blinking hard like I was trying to clear fog from my brain. My hands were shaking. My mouth was dry.
He rubbed my arms gently. “Baby?”
“I…” I swallowed. “I had a dream.”
He blinked, his soft eyes now focused. “A nightmare?”
I nodded slowly. “Someone was on the yacht. There was blood… a symbol carved into the floor. I thought Damien came back.”
Aiden pulled me closer, pressing his lips to my forehead. “No one’s here, Nina. Just you and me.”
