Valerie erupted in exasperation after thirty minutes of trying to understand the charts and reports in the files scattered about her work desk. The thought of Mark and the conversation he had with him was completely erased from her mind, though the bittersweet feeling still remained...

She thought the last one might be exactly what she'd use to describe the speed at which her head spun and how nauseous she was at the moment.
