Chapter 176. Something’s Wrong with Lucian
AFTER the flashing lights from the camera, Latton saw John’s terrified look while talking to someone on the phone.
Her face paled instantly, and it was as if everything moved slower and the ambiance turned darker. There’s a gloomy air surrounding them, a feeling too familiar to her that brings back memories of when her grandpa and Catherine died, the same look of the people who heard the bad news first.
She marched to John and Vivian and heard about Lucian’s accident. Hearing that, she felt a wave of relief, knowing that he is still alive.
Her lips were still shaking, “I’m going with you.” she exclaimed worriedly. She was not even thinking clearly about what the press and guests would think if she suddenly disappeared.
“How about the party? You need to entertain all these people.” John states while he is sweating bullets.
“I’ll take care of everything. If someone asks, I’ll tell them you're drunk and went to sleep,” Lucius suggested.
