Chapter 185. Goodbye Ohio

VIVIAN Bloom drove home to the two-bedroom home she shared with John. It’s 8 in the evening and to her surprise, the whole house, including the driveway, is dark.

“Is John still at work?” She asks herself while parking her car. She got out and opened the trunk to get the bags of groceries she purchased at the last minute at the nearby Costco and carried them in one go.

She opens the main door with difficulty but brushes it off and only lets go of the groceries on the floor while she blindly searches for the light switch.
