TWO in the morning when Latton and Xavier’s private jet landed at Los Angeles International Airport. The moment she set foot on the ground, her phone vibrated uncontrollably.

"Who's calling this early in the morning?" She asks herself, then agitatedly looks at her phone and finds that it's Lucian.

She glances around since she doesn't want to answer the call with Xavier around. Fortunately, he is on his phone talking to someone.

She discreetly answered the call without waiting for her to speak. He blurted out, "Are you back in L.A.?

"Yes, the plane just landed." She replied in a low voice.

"See you in the parking lot in two minutes." He said in a cold tone.

She wants to retort as she can't make excuses in a short time, but he has already ended the call. She was in a dilemma. She knew that Lucian hated waiting and being rejected, but she couldn't just drop everything and run to him, especially when Xavier was around.
