Chapter 86. Days with Lucian

(Unsettling scene)

LATTON wakes up inside Lucian's room naked. She tried to move, but her body aches, everything aches. She checks herself to know why it hurts and, to her surprise, she has red markings on her arms and legs and possibly everywhere else. She can feel her insides swollen. Her mouth is dry, and she can feel stinging pain in her cheeks.

She searches for Lucian, and he's not beside her. Shortly, she hears the bathroom door open. She could smell the alluring scent of sandalwood in the air. Soon her eyes caught a glimpse of him, fresh out of the shower with only a towel around his waist, the water on his hair dripping on his chiseled abdomen. Her mouth slightly ajar, she swallowed the spit that piled up in her mouth and she almost choked as it also hurt.

Using all her strength while fighting the urge to jump at the stunning man in front of her, she asks him in a raspy voice, "What happened? Why does everything hurt?"

He grins eerily then moves t
