Chloe smoothed down the folds of her dress, her nerves tingling with excitement and trepidation. This meeting was pivotal; she was about to meet the man who would soon become her father-in-law, one of the most feared and dangerous men.

As she entered the opulent foyer, she caught sight of him standing by the grand staircase, his presence commanding the room.
