Chapter 131. Emily Got Sick

When Kara came in, Emily's cries were still shrill. After placing the tray on the table, she climbed onto bed, hugging the heartbroken toddler.

"Little Bee, why are you crying?" She moved Emily to her lap, then patted her back.

Louis, who was still holding the handkerchief, frowned. "I just coaxed her a little, but she started crying."

The toddler nodded then got out of the bed. While occasionally glancing at Emily, he moved to his place. "Why is she so whiny? Tsk, looks like I'm going to have trouble sleeping again tonight."
