Chapter 95. In Philip's Apartment
"Philip?"
The man gasped. "Yes?"
"I haven't had time to say it yet. Thank you for allowing me stay in your apartment," Barbara said sincerely, even though she was stiff and shy.
However, that appreciation sounded like sarcasm in Philip's ears. Forcing a smile, he swallowed hard. "It's nothing big, Barbara. I'm just giving you a simple place to stay."
Then, with an awkward movement, Philip opened the door. The light automatically turned on. Seeing the contents of his apartment, he was stunned.
"Did the Harpers prepare all this?" he thought, amazed. The apartment was like a five-star hotel.
Without waiting for an invitation, Barbara stepped inside. Looking at the furniture in front of her, her eyebrows moved down. "You must have worked very hard to prepare all this. Sorry if I robbed you of the results of your hard work."
