While Kara's eyebrows pulled together, Barbara gasped. "You want Kara to clean this hall? Why not just send the men?"
Diana waved her hand. "I saw them having fun earlier. I didn't want to disturb them. They are hard workers. They rarely get time to relax like that."
Diana's eyes shifted to Kara. "Besides, you don't mind, right? Once in a while, helping others is necessary."
Kara's smile completely disappeared. Her chest was a little tight. However, before she had time to respond, Barbara snapped, "Then what is Sophia's job? Why doesn't she shovel the snow?"
Diana shook her head swiftly. "She has bought all the gifts. Does it make sense if I ask her to shovel the snow?"
Before Barbara could argue, the old woman patted Kara's arm. "Now get to work. The tools are over there. And you ...."
Diana grabbed Barbara's arm. "Let's start wrapping the presents. We still need to put the name tags on the hats."
