Chapter 37. Gone too Far

Kara's expression was firm. She didn't want to complain. She just needed to make Frank aware that his treatment had been outrageous. Kara didn't know how long she would be able to endure it.

"You're asking for freedom so you can date Ben?" Frank said unexpectedly.

Kara laughed sadly. "Why do you keep calling it a date? It was just dinner. And I ask for leeway not for that, but for my own happiness."

"Still I won't allow it!" Frank rebuked.

Kara flinched slightly. The girl now doubted that returning to the Savior Group was the best choice for her.

At that moment, the phone in Kara's hand vibrated. Seeing the screen flicker, Frank's expression darkened even more. He thought it was Ben's call. Before Kara could check her phone, Frank grabbed it.

"From this moment on, don't have any dealings with Ben anymore!"

Kara's jaw dropped. Not out of annoyance, but panic. It must have been a call from the twins. It would be bad if Frank accepted it.
