Chapter 128. Winning Ava's Heart
Ava's lips grew colorless as she opened the box. Finding a lump of plasticine that had been shaped to resemble a human heart, her knees yielded.
“Oh, God.” Sitting on the floor, she shed her fear and gratitude through tears. "Thank You. Eva is still alive. I'm not too late."
Ava laughed bitterly. However, when she found a piece of paper at the bottom of the box, her worries surfaced again.
"Don't be happy yet. What's in this artificial heart is only a small part of your sister. I've sent the rest back. You'll bear the consequences yourself."
Ava sighed in disbelief. With a horrified look, she split the plasticine. There, she found a nail with dried blood.
Ava knew who it belonged to. Her whole body was shaking. She quickly ordered a taxi. However, just as she walked through the door, her vision blurred. Her ears rang and after a few steps, she fell to the floor.
