Chapter 192. How Was Last Night?
"No, but I don't think we'll be far behind. You want a daughter, right? Let's make one as beautiful as you," Philip teased.
"Philip!"
Barbara closed her eyes again. This time, she could no longer open them. Their climb was too steep. As Philip's little soldiers ambushed, her senses drifted away. She no longer knew whether they were on the surface of the earth or above the clouds.
"Your snake is nasty, Phil. It threw up in there. How do we clean it up now?"
Philip laughed and pulled Barbara into his arms. While kissing her red face, he whispered, "Thank you for always making me happy, Barbara Martin."
"You're welcome, Baby. I'm actually proud if I managed to make you happy."
Barbara's smile was so sweet. Philip was afraid that his snake would rise again.
"Now let’s sleep." He pulled her head to rest in the crook of his neck. "Tomorrow morning, we will have breakfast with the others."
"Waiting for good news from Ava?" Barbara peeked out
