Chapter 44
LUCAS'S POV
My heart drowned in regrets, sorrow, and misery as I watched her run away. I had expected more than a slap from her, I had expected her to shout and yell angrily for all that I've done to her, to see nothing but hatred in her eyes for me instead she was hurt and piqued.
I've been growing strange feelings and emotions for her, I wanted to tell her about the case of Lola sooner but I was glad she asked.
I liked her... and it took me a while to realize that. She will be mine and mine alone.
I know she won't forgive me that easily but I won't give up, I just need to give her time and I promise to make it up to her.
I slumped on the sand, my heart still grieving as I laid my back on the sand staring at the sky.
I've been lying on the sand for some minutes before I heard footsteps. I sat up and saw Jenny coming towards me as I groaned internally.
