Chapter 52

Never in my life did I imagine I would be standing in front of my mum's burial ground so soon in the vast cemetery.

I felt completely void having to lose both of my parents so soon.

I wondered what they did badly that life had to deal with them so cruelly... and to us.

Now I'm an orphan...

My parents were the happiest thing I ever wished for when they were alive but now that they were gone, I felt like an empty shell, a lackluster that is spiritless and hollow.

I cried bitterly with Beatrice by my side hugging me with one of her arms wrapped around my waist while I rested my head on her shoulder as the Reverend father read from scriptures over my dead mother's casket place in the ground waiting to be covered by the heap of sand beside it as he performed the funeral rite.

My mum's boss, Beatrice and her mum, Leticia, Lillian and I were the ones present to say farewell to my mother.

It was time to say the good deeds my mum has done as Madam Gonzalez
