"You better calm your boo," Leticia whispered in my ear.

"Courtesy my foot!" Lucas seethed with his fist folded and walked out of the dining room.

I turned my gaze to his father who tapped two fingers on his table.

"I shouldn't be here... I'll get going," Lucas's mum cracked... She was trying so hard not to stream the tears which were accumulating in her eyes as she turned around to walk.

"Stay!" Lucas's father ordered his voice deep and dominating as she stopped in her tracks.

Beatrice tapped my knee and I coughed lightly as everyone's attention was on me.

"Excuse me, I'll like to talk with Lucas," I said politely standing up as I drew out the chair.

I glanced at Lucas's father who stared at me and nodded in approval, I brushed past Lucas's mum and she grabbed my arm making me jolt.

"Ple-please, tell him th- that... I-I'm so-sorry," She stuttered as tears rolled her face.

I nodded and she realized my arms while I made my way ups
