Chapter 43. Memory Retrieval
Timothy drove the car while Alexus sat in the passenger seat, asking, "Is everyone at ease?"
"Yes. Thank you, sir," Libby said. She was positioned between the twins in the backseat.
"The police have no solid clues concerning the identity of my wife's attacker who could enter the cottage, so I say, be careful. Don't talk to anyone. Everyone is a suspect, whoever asks for anything." Alexus told his therapist, "What's up with that look, Tim? Do you have something to say to me?"
With a low voice, Timothy laughed. "Well, Alex, it appeared you knew me well."
He raised an eyebrow and said, "Why not? We've been together for a while now. Come on, tell me whatever you want to discuss with me," Alexus urged.
"I'd like to give you a perspective that might be helpful about what happened to your wife," the man said.
"Go on..."
"Libby and I were talking about how she was hit in the head on purpose."
