Cole’s eyes followed her like it was the first time he was seeing her naked. For a moment neither of them moved. The forest seemed to be quiet around them; wind brushing through the leaves above, sunlight filtering down in soft gold patches across the ground.

Aria crawled slowly over him, settling over his hips as if she belonged there. Her hair fell forward over her shoulders, brushing lightly against his chest as she leaned down.

Cole’s hands found her waist instinctively, gripping her as though he was afraid she might disappear if he loosened his hold. She smiled down at him. The smile alone at that moment nearly undid him.
