Chapter 14

Davina’s Pov:-

The next morning, We had breakfast together in complete silence. I noticed Arthur’s mood still hasn’t changed yet. We hadn’t talked much the whole day, he locked himself in his study room and hadn’t stepped out of it the whole day and it had me worried about him. It was dinner time now, I fed April while I kept glancing at the closed doors of his study room.

Should I go to him?

I thought,

Yes, he does look bad because of the media issue,

My subconscious replied.

As soon as I fed April, I took a trolley loaded with his dinner and made my way to his study room. There was some kind of anxiety that began to rise inside me as I walked closer towards the study room. I grew air through my mouth while placing my palm over my rapidly beating heart and tried to control myself.

I raised my shaking hand and knocked on the wooden door, and stepped back, “Come in,” I heard him reply. I pushed the door open and stirred the trolley inside,
