Davina’s pov:-

“Who took it?” I said looking up at him, “No one other than me knows where I put it,” I glanced at the drawer and back at him.

“Unless someone from inside must have stolen it,” I said, he stared at me with a blank expression. He was lost in thoughts and all of a sudden he grabbed my shoulders, “Look… Davina… stay out of this matter… Don’t get yourself involved in this, let the cops take care of it..” I cut him off,

“No buts… Please just listen to me for once,” He pleaded,

There was a worry for me in his eyes and I couldn’t just say no to him at the moment, “Okay,” I replied,

He sighed and a small smile formed on his lips, he grabbed my wrist and pulled me closer to him while wrapping his hands around me and hugging me tightly. I felt warm in his arms and a
