Meadow’s POV

This time, I didn’t argue, I didn’t defy him. I just went straight into my room to change into my underwear just like he’d asked me to.

When I stepped into the room, my chest knotted. The bed was perfectly made as if it were waiting for me, and the closet was still filled with clothes. 

It was as though I hadn’t even left.

I ended up putting on a red set—panties and a bra with a garter belt. And then I threw on a matching robe and tied my hair into a high knot.

My insides were trembling.
