Alaric’s fingers brushed over the side of my wrist right before he fastened the second cuff, lifting me a bit higher until my feet weren’t even touching the floor anymore. I was at eye-level with him now, my nipples were hard, tight against the fabric of my bra.

His gaze dropped to my boobs and back to my eyes. “I’m waiting, baby.”

For a second, my brows drew together in confusion, but then I remembered. He wanted me to pick a safe word. My teeth came down on my bottom lip and Alaric’s jaw clenched.
