“Kayla...” Kaillen called his daughter’s name as he was trying to put himself into a sitting position in his hospital bed. He had just finished eating his lunch, and Kayla was about to wash the dishes and throw their trash outside, but she immediately stopped doing those things as she heard her father.

“Dad, wait, I’ll help you...” Kayla immediately ran towards him so she could help him, but Kaillen was actually not calling her for help as he immediately gestured his hand and shook his head.

“I’m not calling you to help me sit... I... I called you because I want you to call your brother, Zayden. Tell him to come here with his aunt Zenee... I want to talk to the both of them.”

“Like... right now, Dad?”
