Katarina's POV

My eyes wandered downstairs as I stood near the stairs and my heart dropped when I saw Alex dancing next to some girl, making my blood boil. Wait, why am I getting angry in the first place? It doesn't concern me. Nothing he does concerns you, Katy. I glanced at him one more time and my eyes widened when I caught him staring at me before he turned away, continuing the dance. Why? I thought he had feelings for me?

"Hey." A familiar voice made me hang my head in shame before I turned to look at David with a forced smile. I was about to leave but he held my wrist.

"Wait, why are you avoiding me, Katy?" he asked me, but I shook my head.

"I'm not."

"You are." He leaned closer to my face.

"Yes. I just...I can't face you. Not after what I did." I said out loud in despair.

"You didn't do it on purpose, Katy," he assured me. This is what I like about him. He always makes me feel better.
