HOWARD UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL***

Mrs. Rogers' eyes were wide open in shock as Layla continued to stare at her in disdain.

She couldn't understand why her daughter was suddenly treating her like a stranger. Yes, she understood the fact that she might be mad at her for her actions, but does this call for her to treat her this way?

"Baby, it's me, your mom," she whispered.

Layla clamped her eyes tightly in pain and released a groan.

"My head hurts," she whispered.

"Your head? Oh no, I'll get the Doctor right away" Mrs. Rogers said and rushed out of the room.

Layla tried to raise her hand but found it difficult as a result of the drip connected to her hand.

"Am I a prisoner right now?" She muttered aloud.

Mrs. Rogers returned with the Doctor who immediately preceded in checking her health status.

"What's wrong with her? She said her head hurts" Mrs. Roger
