Chapter 51
“What’s going on here?” I whispered to myself as My eyes shifted to the moving vans. I was curious and wondered who was moving in because it clearly wasn’t me. What was Christian doing?
“Excuse me,” I spoke to one of the men and patted him on his shoulder.
“Who’s moving in?” I asked as I stared at the box in his hands. “No one.” He smiled. “We’re renovating a room.”
“Oh, really?” I spoke, surprised. “Thanks.”
It seemed like Christian did not want to waste any more time and wanted me to move back as soon as possible. I smiled at the idea of Christian being desperate and made my way inside. “Chrissie!” I called out. He hated that nickname, and cringed whenever his nieces used to call him that, but I thought it was cute.
“Serena!” Christian called out and quickly found his way towards me. I opened my arms to pull him into a hug, but he walked past me with a confused and disappointed look on his face. “Where is my baby?” He asked.
“She’s with Carmen,”
