Chapter 88

It was the middle of the night, and my peaceful sleep got got interrupted by the sound of moving boxes. I turned around and looked at the clock beside me to look at time.

What was Christian up to?

Just as I was about to jump up to ask him what he was doing, I thought about the surprise he had planned for me and didn’t move a muscle.

I closed my eyes with a smile on my face and just let him do whatever he was doing. I knew he bought me several gifts and I was not going to spoil his present.

If he planned to do it quietly, he failed at doing so because all I heard was the sound of a shopping bag, and I was wondering what the hell he bought for me. Would it be an instrument? Or maybe a makeup set? Would I wake up to a room full of balloons and roses?
