“Did you came here on your own?” Beau asked. I shook my head and pointed to the car. “I told Christian I needed some air, so he called Marc to take care of me.”
“Oh, I haven’t seen him in a while,” Beau spoke. Of course, he hadn’t because Christian mistreated him. He probably got sick of his big mouth and figured how easy it was to manipulate my brother.
“You know, I’m glad we’re doing this, Beau.” I smiled. “It’s just like back in the days, and I’m sure you also deserve a break.”
“It is, I mean—anything is better than home.” Beau agreed. “Pregnancy turned Isobel into a different person.”
