“So, how do I look?” Carmen showed off her dress. It was another boring day in the Alfonso household, with the only one keeping me company being my sister as Siena was asleep.
“Cute.” I touched the ends of her dress. “So what are you doing again?”
“I have a date with Kenzo?” Carmen smiled, proudly. “Christian’s cousin?”
“Ah, Christian’s cousin,” I repeated with a deep sigh. I bet my dad would be happy to hear that since he was so fond of Christian. Note the sarcasm.
“Carmen, he’s a nice kid—but I don’t think that’s very smart,” I told my sister, who shot me a glare. “So what?” She spoke. “You’re the only one allowed to date a Lamberti?”
