"We didn't get the loan, again," Susan informed both her friends. Her shoulders slumped in disappointment.

Aurora sat on the chair in her living room while Susan sighed in dismay.

"Maybe we are not made for this…" Emily murmured. Susan jerked her head towards her.

"We are not losers, do you both understand me? We will strive in this business even if I have to…" she stopped herself from speaking further she didn't want to ask her father's help.

"No, I won't join this team if you are going to ask for money from your father, Susan."

Aurora was numb. Detached. She recalled how she told Gabriel two months ago that she will prove herself in the Jewellery business and now hearing Emily's words. She didn't know what to feel.
