ALPHA CALEB'S POV:

As she had asked me, I went back into her room after breakfast. I had already told Lucas to take care of everything.

I did not tell him that I had to talk to my mate. I wanted it to be a secret until she would be comfortable to say it out loud.

I told Lucas that I had a few things to discuss with the she wolf warrior about the future of our pack.

Well, technically it was not completely a lie.

Anika was the she wolf warrior and if she agreed to marry me, she would be the Luna of our pack. Which meant that I was actually about to discuss the future of the pack, in a way.

I took a deep breath before I knocked at the door of her bedroom. My heart just kept on drumming as if I was going for a war.
