Chapter 144. Let Me Go

Ansel arrives at the crime scene and sees a police line installed there. There were several journalists and other members of the police.

"Lieutenant, you've come," said a policeman, greeting him.

"Where's the body?" asked Ansel.

The man in the jacket directed Ansel to the corpse, which had been wrapped in a special yellow plastic for corpses. Ansel walked over to the body, then crouched beside it. He also opened the zipper.

"Uh!" He winced slightly as he turned his face when he saw the corpse's face shattered and filled with blood.

"Is there an ID card?" asked Ansel.

"No sir."

Ansel closed his zipper again. "Perform an autopsy immediately," Ansel ordered.

"Good."

Ansel stood up from his crouched position.

'It looks like he really is Marco. His clothes were the same as the ones Marco had worn last night. Fergus was really mean. Somehow he tortured Marco until he couldn't be recognized,' Ansel thought with a sigh
