Chapter 35

Delaney’s POV

“So, Laney, tell me every detail without leaving any stone unturned,” Mrs. Jenny beamed and stared eagerly at me.

“Sure,” I smiled lightly.

I told every single detail to Xavier’s mom about our outing.

We went to just two fun places, and Xavier was all grumpy. I tried persuading him to have fun and play games with me, but he refused. It was as if I came on my own because Xavier didn’t pay attention to me. It wasn’t entirely boring because I got to see places I’d never seen before.

And I got to know about some other things – I learned a lot of new things.

I played with what Xavier had called bubbles because I liked them and saw children with them. Xavier grumbled and called me a kid because of how excited I was to play with the bubbles. Even though Xavier tried to ruin the fun with his grumpy attitude and unending grumbling, I still enjoyed my day.

I was glad I got to explore – even if it’s just a few places around Earth.
