Chapter 135. Crossing the Line

The car pulled into the Romano Mansion and came to an abrupt stop in front of the grand entrance. The sudden halt made Calla jolt forward slightly before she shoved the door open and stormed out first, without waiting for Rico to come out first.

She didn't turn back, didn't care if he was furious or behind her. She stormed off, pushed through the tall doors, and headed straight for her room. 

Heavy steps could be heard behind her, and she knew they were Rico's. She could feel his hard breathing and dark eyes on her back, even without turning back.

Calla barged into her room, and before she could slam the door shut, Rico caught it and pushed it open. The door hit the wall with a loud bang, rattling the room and Calla flinched a bit.

She turned to him now, knowing she couldn't avoid him forever. A cold shiver ran down her spine
