Rico’s eyes stayed on the mirror a moment longer, watching the white truck behind him like it was nothing more than a mild inconvenience. Then, without any sudden movement, he pressed his foot down on the accelerator, letting the car pick up speed in a smooth, controlled way.
The engine responded immediately, the quiet morning road stretching endlessly ahead of him. It was always like this long, empty, and silent on the way to the meeting point. No traffic or distractions, just an open road.
