Foolish Lies
The hotel room was filled with the light of morning. The sun was shining on their faces when they awoke. They massaged their bleary eyes. There was a pearly glimmer in the sky. Anyone can tell, it was a lovely and bright morning. Clouds moved over the sky, white and fluffy.
“Do you know that I already spend a lot on, Kia? But she doesn’t even let me touch her finger. Not even once. She’s whiter than white,” Vincent said, “You know what, Asteria? You are nicer than your sister, you even let me try it in my office,” he added staring at Asteria.
“You know me so well, honey. Does that mean that I’m the only person you make out with?” Asteria curiously asked.
Vincent was too stunned to respond. He didn’t expect that Asteria would ask those kinds of questions.
“Right, Vincent?” Asteria asked, repeating her question.
“Ye—Yeah, you’re the only one, honey,” He said, lying about the truth.
