Chapter 7. There with Him

"Oh wow, you are already up!" She heard her friend, Mira's voice from behind her, causing her to turn to her. Alicia smiled weakly as she nodded, she felt sick already and she was not even there yet.

"Yeah…I will leave soon. Mom said if I wasted time, the palace guards would come to get me and I do not want to upset Lucian." Alicia said to Mira with a small smile as she sighed, to say she was tired of this was such an understatement. She could not even convey her emotions properly.

"Wow…I really can not believe your mother would do this to you." Mira said in a low voice as her eyes burned with rage for her friend.

This was one of the things she loved about her friend, she was the type who would get angry on behalf of her friend who was going through some kind of shit.

She knew that Mira would feel angry, especially as she had been with her from the beginning and had witnessed how her mother treated her. With such disrespect and in such a downgrading manner.
