Chapter 9. Speechless
Anita’s POV
“It’s up to you. If you run away at our wedding, I will find you and force you to stay by my side. Or I’ll need to handcuff your hands and feet and make sure your love is only for me!” he said, looking at me with a sinister smile.
I was left speechless, averting my eyes for a moment. I felt a mix of annoyance and frustration. “Damn! He just won’t let me go. What kind of man am I dealing with here?”
The rest of the journey was quiet and cold, and I had no desire to talk to him anymore. He was insufferable, and I felt like I had been lost in this conversation. He was a stubborn man.
Finally, we reached a point not far from my house. “Driver, stop!” I said firmly.
The driver pulled over, and I turned to Yoong. “I’ll just get off here. How much do I owe you?”
The driver glanced back at Yoong and me before answering, “No need to pay. Let me take care of the fare,” Yoong interjected.
“Hah, I don’t want to owe you anything,” I retorted,
