Chapter 10. The Jet
Anita’s POV
The security guard went inside and spoke to the receptionist. I noticed that they were both laughing at me and the bracelet. The receptionist, who was a woman, didn’t take any action. They continued chatting, seemingly not doing anything to contact the CEO. I shook my head, feeling underestimated. I wondered if they wanted me to take drastic measures. In my heart, I muttered to myself, “Did they think I wouldn’t follow through? Do they want me to make a scene?” I decided to contact my father.
However, my first call to my father went unanswered. “Hmm, maybe he’s busy,” I thought to myself. I tried calling him again, but there was still no answer. On the third attempt, my father finally answered.
“Yes, dear. What is it? Papa is discussing something important,” my father said.
