Chapter 13. Compensation

Austin threw another punch until the three men in their twenties begged for mercy. All the diners in the restaurant were now focused on the commotion. Bella shook her head and started to approach her husband to stop Austin. But just a step away, Austin returned with a nonchalant expression.

Austin wiped his hands by clapping them together. "Pests dealt with, darling! Now we can eat in peace!"

Bella immediately rubbed her forehead, "Oh my, darling!"

Then they both ordered food from the waiter who waited patiently. The restaurant staff didn't protest or ask for compensation when they saw the business card the waiter gave them.

"So tell me, dear, why did you suddenly hit those young men over there?" Bella asked her husband.

Austin sighed softly and began to recount what the Italian men in the corner had said.
