Chapter 43. Forget About Today

Monica instantly turned, "Brother?!" she exclaimed inwardly. Panic engulfed her.

"Well then, I'll go in first, Sir. My husband is already at home."

"Alright. Goodbye," Austin said to Monica and turned towards the man who had just appeared.

Austin turned back, "Hey, wait."

"It's okay, Sir, you can continue your journey." Monica then pulled her brother into the house.

"What do you mean?"

Monica walked past her brother nonchalantly.

"Monica ??!!" the man exclaimed angrily.

"He's just a colleague, bro," Monica quipped.

"A colleague?? Since when do you let your colleague escort you home? It's been six years since I last saw you with a man," the man interrogated.

Monica shrugged indifferently. But she dared not look at her brother. "Well, maybe starting today," she replied casually.

"Monica!! Who is that man?!" the high-pitched voice made Monica flinch.

"He's just a colleague, Brother Earnest!
