Chapter 12. I Cannot Accept You

Diana ended up being summoned to the alpha’s office—alone. This was all thanks to Sally pointing out how she tried to kill her. Now, Diana reduced her grand plans to Sally. She only had the strong urge to use her once and discard her later on. Of course, Diana did not let her inner turmoil affect her nonchalant stance in front of the ruthless alpha.

With only the two of them inside his office, there was no need to pretend.

Though she was still weary of him, his previous actions and words rang inside her mind like a go signal. With this, she dared test the waters by sitting before she was told to do so.

“What is the reason why you came?” asked Diana. Though she could only look him in the eyes for at best a minute or two due to rank difference, Diana was still able to see how heated he looked at her—as if she really did something that offended him. “I am the one who got hurt alright. And the comfort room has no damage whatsoever just so you know.”
