“The symbol of Lord Denidor’s house is lightning,” I grumble as I wedge myself into the Y-shaped branch Finn has picked out for us to watch this meeting from.
“All the more reason to be here.” Finn scans the horizon intently. “Since we found the first bark in Zdenko’s room.”
The branch squishes my hips in a way I know means I will have to relieve myself before long. “And what reason would Lord Denidor and General Zdenko have for using this method of communication?”
“Mind-links within Moonlight Hollow have been spotty, too,” Finn replies.
I bite down on my sigh and settle in.
