Everyone always says Anwen is the fastest. Maybe he is—but he’s never been stupid enough to ask me to race, so I can’t prove him wrong.
As I tear out of the cliff side cave, onto the narrow strip of stone that winds up toward the palace and down toward the beach, all that matters is that I’m a hell of a lot faster than Amval’s muscled form. His feet land heavily behind me, skidding on pebbles as we race away from the tension.
