Chapter 53. Little Bird

It took almost an hour for me to arrange my belongings in the room.

I didn’t expect Joan’s family to treat me kindly, so I wasn’t too concerned about sleeping in the main room or the extra room in this mansion.

I was about to lie down on the bed to rest for a while before having lunch with everyone when there was a knock on the door. I assumed it was Mia and told her to just open the door and come in.

I lay on the bed, closed my eyes to rest but still talked.

“What’s wrong? Is there something else?”

“If there’s nothing wrong, can’t I find you?”

Hearing the familiar deep and masculine voice, I opened my eyes and quickly sat up. But before I could do that, Dominic reached out and hugged me and we both fell onto the bed.

“It’s at Joan’s house, don’t mess around.” I reminded Dominic, frowning in displeasure.
