Chapter 72. Dominic Is Jealous

We were both startled and turned to look. Dominic was walking towards us, his face displeased. He came and hugged my waist with such force that my body wobbled and fell into his lap.

“Who is this? I’ve never met this person before. Your friend?” Dominic was talking to me but his eyes were fixed on Frederick.

“Um, I’m…”

“I didn’t ask you. I asked her.” Dominic interrupted Frederick, then he gently squeezed my waist to signal silently asking me to answer his question.

“He’s a friend I just met.” I replied, then observed his expression. Looks like he got angry.

“You? You have too many male friends, don’t you? Last time it was Garrick Harvey, this time…”

Dominic raised an eyebrow at Frederick.

“Ah, Frederick. Frederick Vincent.” Frederick’s friendly smile was gone. Looking at him now, he looks a bit awkward. Perhaps he also sensed the tense atmosphere and my troubled expression. Still, he reached out his hand to say hello to Dominic.
