Chapter 3

Siddharth’s POV

Parth was right, if she was not bothered, why should I be? I decided to forget everything and enjoy the trip with my friends.

We all enjoyed that day and then all of us had planned a bonfire at night. The nights were quite cold as it was just the last week of February.

We all were sitting there, the light romantic music was on. We all played many games and few couples were dancing, engrossed in each other.

Just then a junior doctor, Dr Isha came to me and asked if I would like to dance with her.

I looked at Shruti as I wanted to dance with her… But she was engrossed in talking to that male friend of hers. I got so annoyed that I nodded and we started dancing.

Isha was dancing too close to me. I looked at Shruti from the corner of my eyes and saw that she was looking at us.

I knew that look, she was getting irritated to see me dancing with another girl. But so was I. Why couldn’t she talk to me and let me tell exactly what had happened?

She was not ready to talk to me, so blocked my number and me from her life and all her social media handles.

How can she do that? I was still thinking about all that while dancing when all of a sudden, Isha missed a step and was falling when I caught her.

She thanked me with a smile and hug. I gave a polite smile and removed her arms from my body. But she managed to peck my cheek.

Oh God! What was wrong with this girl?

I got away from her as soon as possible and saw Shruti leaving the party and going away.

Oh god! There were already so many misunderstandings… I didn’t want another one.

I followed her and caught her hand and pulled her away to somewhere we could talk.

She was annoyed as hell and pushed me really very hard. Though I managed to wrap my arms around her waist, I lost my balance and I fell on the grass with her on top of me as I was holding her tightly.

Her lips brushed against my neck. I loved it and she was so shocked that she tried to get away but I could not let her go.

She was looking so pretty in her pink-colored sundress that I lost my mind and all I could remember was that I wanted to kiss her very plump lips. Her almond-shaped eyes and plump lips had been haunting me for so long.

I knew it was not right but I flipped our position and now she was lying on the ground while I was on top of her preventing her from getting up and going away.

I was bending my head down towards her to kiss those soft kissable lips when she slapped me hard.

“What are you doing? I am not one of those silly brainless girls who roam around you. Just don’t even think to try another dirty trick of yours on me. Let me go…”

“Not before I clear the misunderstanding… I never played any dirty trick on you.”

“Oh please… sorry to burst your bubble, but I am not that naive and gullible. I did trust you once but thank God, I came back that day. I saw everything with my own eyes, Siddharth. I would never fall for your charm. Let me go or I will scream and shout.”

I was shocked and came back to my senses. I got up immediately and extended my hand to help her in getting up but she ignored it.

“Do whatever you want, but please listen to me… It was not how it looked…”

“Oh, yes, of course, it was not as it looked. What about just now? You looked absolutely comfortable dancing with that girl.” She said as if she was jealous.

“Jealous? Did you want me to dance with you Instead?” I asked.

“Ha ha ha! In your dreams… You are just too much. I don’t even want to talk to you or anyone like you. You just do everything for fun. Everything is a part of the game.”

“I know you are angry… It looked as if I was a part of that but trust me, you misunderstood everything.”

“I am neither blind nor deaf. I saw and heard everything. Please don’t try to convince me that I am stupid enough not to understand what even a seven years old would understand.”

“Shruti, please listen to me… I will tell you everything.”

“Go to hell! I am not at all interested in you or your explanation. Leave me or I would have to shout.” She said.

Parth was right, she didn’t want to listen and understand. So what could I do?

“Ok fine, think what you want… But let me tell you, my intentions were absolutely honorable for you. I really felt something for you.”

“Shut up and get lost!” She said and then ran towards her room.”

It was morning and everyone got ready for sightseeing. But I saw her with her friends. That friend of hers was standing very close to her and said something, she smiled and her face lit up.

He was insisting on her to sit beside him. She agreed to it. I was burning with jealousy, so I got down the bus. Parth followed me as he saw that I was annoyed as hell.

“What are you doing?”

“I can’t take it, I am going home. I will lose my sanity, Parth. I can’t stay here looking at her enjoying it with others.”

“Ok, I will come with you.”

“No, you will complete your trip. Sorry yaar, I am spoiling your trip too. Please enjoy.”

“I would punch you if you talk like that.”

“I am all yours…” I said and he laughed.

“Please don’t go. She is not worth your attention. So many girls are crazy about you. Why are you stuck on her? What is so special about her?”

“I don’t know… Don’t spoil your mood or I will tell everyone that you proposed to me yesterday.” I said and he punched me.

“You are such an idiot.” He said and hugged me.

I came to my hotel room and booked a flight to Delhi. I washed my face, shook my head to clear all the thoughts of her from my mind.

I would not think about her…

Shruti’s POV

This man was so shameless. I was right about him, he is just a rich playboy. Look how he is dancing so close to that girl. How cozy!

She even kissed him on his cheek and hugged him. That day she also hugged him and flirted.

So what is your problem if he is dancing with another girl? Jealous? My stupid inner soul said who seemed to be on his side.

Ha! Jealous? Me? You must be kidding. I don’t even care about him. He is absolutely worthless, an idiot, a flirt, a rich brat, a playboy…

Hmmm but you like him.

No! Shut up! Go to hell!

I shouted at my soul and left the party to go to my room. He came and pulled me aside.

I slapped him hard… He started as an old record. But I did not listen to him and went to my room. I hated him.

I should not have come for this trip. I should have thought about it well in advance so that he might be coming as well.

I was avoiding him for so long and now he got the chance to be around me.

***

It was morning and my friends and I got on the bus and just when the bus was about to leave, he got down and his friend followed him.

What happened to him all of a sudden? He looked very annoyed. His friend was trying to ask him to ride on the bus as he was trying to pull him but he was being adamant.

They were arguing about something. Then after about a few seconds they hugged each other and smiled and then his friend came back, while he went towards the rooms.

Did he forget something? The driver asked Dr Parth if he should wait? But he threw me a cold glare and said no to him.

The driver started the Volvo but I felt a bit uncomfortable… What happened to him?

Was he not coming? But we were leaving for Jodhpur… Was he leaving the trip in the middle of it?

Why?
