(Lizzie POV)

My heart is breaking.

That's all I can feel right now; this strong pull as we head to Dean's car with the last of our stuff.

The boys are asleep in their car seats; all ready and waiting for us.

Where Holden might be, I have no idea.

"Is there anything else left to do?" Dean asks me softly, wiping a stray tear from beneath my eye lashes.

I swallow and with regret, shake my head, "let's go."

Dean nods and we climbs into the car.

I don't want to go.

I feel like I'm betraying the pack by walking out..

Not only am I leaving Holden, my mate and Alpha, but I'm abandoning the entire pack.

I'm a sorry excuse for a mate.

I stare at the brick house as Dean starts the engine up.

A flurry of tears stream down my face, as I watch the house disappear from view.
